she owns me utterly,
her sultry siren song.
those cerulean waves,
rib-breaking, breath-taking.
my devotion, it’s hers.
she casts my heart aside.
to be with her always,
i’d martyr myself, i’d die.
tears hold little value,
for one whom they are made.
begging holds no use here,
tempests cannot be swayed.
i watch the water go,
and with her goes the light.
the ocean gives so much,
and takes what is her right.
